Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
If purchasing cheese please note that we cannot cut cheeses exactly so there is often a price adjustment ( up or down ) when we charge your credit card. We will always email details of this adjustment when we confirm despatch of your order if this difference is 10% or more otherwise we will charge your card with the difference without notification. We are usually within 10% or closer of the required weight. If you need a specific cheese to be at least the weight ordered please note this in the special delivery instructions box ( this is after the address details are entered ). We usually send out cheese as one lump. If you require, for instance 2*500g not 1 kilo, please specify this in the special delivery instructions box on the address page of the checkout ( this is after the address details are entered ).
Please note we do not ship abroad directly from this site. Please call us for details of International shipping.
We accept credit and debit cards except American Express. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone.
If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us ( email or phone) and we will correct the mistake.
When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling
All products are shipped using First Class Mail or APC Overnight/Tendring Express Services.
All prices quoted in the Standard Mail option at checkout are for delivery to most mainland UK addresses.
If you have a postcode covered by Standard mail and your order is under 20Kg then the maximum carriage charge is £9. Any excess weight or extra parcels needed are charged at £9 per 20Kg or part therof.
The following postcodes are NOT covered by Standard Mail and the Highlands and Islands option should be chosen from the dropdown menu.
If you do not choose the correct option we will contact you to ask for the extra payment required. Your order will not be processed until the correct carriage is paid.
Postcodes involved start with IV, AB, HS, KA27 or 28, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-PH44, PH50, ZE, BT, IM, TR21, TR25, PO30-41, GY and JE
NOTE: First Class is a guaranteed 3 day service. The courier is usually a next day service by 4pm but can be 48 hours if the orders are received after 9AM.

Please note carriage charges are to get the products to you in good condition in the timescales listed above. We do not refund carriage costs for damage to outer packaging that does not effect the condition of the goods inside the package.
We deliver your order right away. We will normally despatch your order to you in 1-2 business days. Orders received before 9am will be despatched same day, before 5pm will be sent the next day. Unless specified in the special delivery instructions box. Please note the customer can only specify despatch for a date at least 3 days from order. This does not guarantee delivery on a specific day.
We cannot be held responsible for the condition of perishable goods if delivery cannot be made because there is no one at the delivery address.
You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please leave at least 3 days from expected date of despatch before contacting us. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
We do not hold back orders.If your item is not in stock, we will contact you before despatching any other items for your choice of action. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if so desired.
For orders made from the UK, 20% VAT is added.
Credit Card Security
When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are processed by Worldpay. We do not receive any card data. We are totally PCIDSS compliant.

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.
You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.
Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.
We take great pride in the quality and condition of the cheeses that we sell. Our perishable goods cannot be returned except where there is a quality or damage in transit problem. This is because any perishable goods will not be in a saleable condition on return as we have no control over the temperature at which they have been stored. Any package that arrives damaged please sign the delivery slip as such and if possible email us a photo of the package with your claim to email@example.com.
These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.
None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
