Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

If purchasing cheese please note that we cannot cut cheeses exactly so there is often a price adjustment ( up or down ) when we charge your credit card. We will always email details of this adjustment when we confirm despatch of your order if this difference is 10% or more otherwise we will charge your card with the difference without notification. We are usually within 10% or closer of the required weight. If you need a specific cheese to be at least the weight ordered please note this in the special delivery instructions box ( this is after the address details are entered ). We usually send out cheese as one lump. If you require, for instance 2*500g not 1 kilo, please specify this in the special delivery instructions box on the address page of the checkout ( this is after the address details are entered ).

Please note we do not ship abroad directly from this site. Please call us for details of International shipping.

We accept credit and debit cards except American Express. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us ( email or phone) and we will correct the mistake.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling All products are shipped using First Class Mail or DHL48 Home.

If your purchase only consists of non-perishable goods we can send it by cheaper means which will take 3-5 days (Parcel Force Standard Parcels). Please use the special delivery instructions box ( this is after the address details are entered ) in the shopping cart to mention this and we will charge postage at the cheaper rate.

All prices quoted in the checkout are for First Class mail. This is to cover postcodes that DHL charge a premium for. We will adjust charges accordingly before taking payment as detailed below.

NOTE: First Class is a guaranteed 3 day service, DHL48Home is a 2 day service. Both, in our experience, arrive within 24 hours most of the time.

If your postcode is any of the following and your carriage is under £20.75 we will only use First Class Mail. This is due to the way DHL charge for certain locations. This equates to an 8 Kg order. If your order is heavier then 8Kg and under 25Kg then we will use DHL. The maximum carriage charge to these postcodes will be £20.75 if you keep under 25Kg.
We will adjust any carriage charges accordingly when we take payment.

Postcodes involved start with IV, HS, KA27 or 28, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-PH44, PH50, ZE, BT, IM, TR21, TR25, PO30-41, GY and JE

If you have any other UK postcode and you order is less than 25Kg then the maximum carriage charge will be £11.
We will adjust any charges accordingly before taking payment.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. This is due to limitations with the Actinic software that powers this site and is hopefully going to be addressed in the near future.
Delivery Schedule We deliver your order right away. We will normally despatch your order to you in 1-2 business days. Orders received before 12 noon will be sent that afternoon or the next day. Unless specified in the special delivery instructions box. Please note the customer can only specify despatch for a date at least 3 days from order. This does not guarantee delivery on a specific day.

We cannot be held responsible for the condition of perishable goods if delivery cannot be made because there is no one at the delivery address.

You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please leave at least 3 days from expected date of despatch before contacting us. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
Back Orders We do not hold back orders.If your item is not in stock, we will contact you before despatching any other items for your choice of action. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if so desired.
Tax Charges For orders made from the UK, 15% VAT is added.
Credit Card Security When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are processed by Worldpay. We do not receive any card data. We are totally PCIDSS compliant.

Privacy Policy H.Gunton Ltd do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Returns Policy Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.

We take great pride in the quality and condition of the cheeses that we sell. Our perishable goods cannot be returned except where there is a quality or damage in transit problem. This is because any perishable goods will not be in a saleable condition on return as we have no control over the temperature at which they have been stored. Any package that arrives damaged please sign the delivery slip as such and if possible email us a photo of the package with your claim to info@guntons.co.uk.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
